Southern Green's first 'movie' in 20 years is arriving later this month

The start of 14 Southern Parking lot made-for-streaming movies is arriving just in time for the holidays.

Southern Park: Post Covid is the basic project as part of creators' Trey Parker and Matt Stone's bumper franchise deal that will discove them make at any rate five more than seasons and 14 movies. It's set for bring out on the Paramount Plus streaming service happening November 25.

"It's the boys dealings with a post-COVID world. They're just trying to get back to typical," Parker told The Hollywood Reporter.

The match, though, are keen to temper expectations. Whereas 1999's painting Southwestward Park: Large, Longer and Unsheared was a fully-fledged musical with an 81-second runtime, the scope of the parvenu 'movies' will be a minuscule small – and run for around an hour.

"With Viacom, we realized we could make over them as long or atomic number 3 curt as we needed," Yardbird Parker said. "And they and so went and called them movies. They are the ones who said we are freehanded them 14 movies in seven years. All I can say is for me, personally, I am 52 years doddery, I have ready-made tierce movies in my life. So you do the math."

Stone added: "We'll do ii successful-for-TV movies every yr. They will glucinium bouffant, but they are not quite movie scale."

The second as-yet-untitled movie is set for release in Dec. Beyond that, years of heading downbound to South Park awaits.
